We are delighted to be funding Chioma Nzekwe in her position as a new kidney specialist research nurse at St James’s Hospital in Leeds.
Clinical Research Nurses play a vital role in delivering clinical research which leads to improved patient care and treatments. By funding a specialist kidney research nurse, the research department will be able to accept opportunities which they would have had to turn down opening up a wider range of research trials and studies for to patients.
Chioma will be a vital link between the research team and the clinical team, helping to recruit and support patients to suitable trials and studies which are vital to improve patient treatments and potentially save lives, which are our key aims as a charity. We are delighted that we are able to fund this vital role, and look forward to sharing the impact that Chioma has had to advancing renal research in Leeds.
