How legacies make a difference

Legacy gifts make up a significant part of Kidney Research Yorkshire funding, and play a significant part in our ground-breaking advances. These gifts make long-term research and trials possible, leading to the discovery of life-saving outcomes to kidney disease.

How to leave a legacy gift in your Will

Thank you for considering leaving our Charity a gift in your Will – we really appreciate you taking the time to consider supporting Kidney Research Yorkshire in this way and playing a part in creating a future free from kidney disease. Your will is one of the most important things you’ll ever write, and we can help you with the process of making or updating a Will.

Tax Efficiency

Inheritance Tax (‘IHT’) is a tax on your estate (savings, investments, home etc) on your death. Gifts to Charity (including Kidney Research Yorkshire) are free of IHT.

Charity Number

However you make your legacy, or whoever prepares it for you, if you want to leave a legacy to Kidney Research Yorkshire, always ensure that your will references our official Charity Commission number : 1106412. This will help ensure that your legacy goes to the Charity of your choice!
